Appeal to drop murder charge

McClements (24) charged with the murder of Paul McCauley have requested the charges against their client be dropped.
Mr McCauley was attacked and beaten at a barbecue in the Chapel Road area of the Waterside in July 2006 and McClements, of The Fountain, was charged with the murder in July this year.
The case has been adjourned until November 16 for legal arguments and will be reviewed prior to this on November 2.
