Council pays tribute to boxing champ Muhammad Ali and country music star Fiddlin' Tom
Mid and East Antrim Borough councillors have agreed to send letters of condolence to the families of the late Muhammad Ali and Fiddlin Tom Cameron.
Three-time world heavyweight champion Ali passed away on Friday at a hospital in Phoenix.
Fiddlin Tom, who passed away on May 22, was a regular fixture on the country music scene for half a century.
The motion to write a condolence letter to Ali’s family was put forward by Alderman Tommy Nicholl, while Cllr Beth Adger proposed to write to Fiddlin Tom’s family.
