Community weekend at Elmwood Presbyterian

THIS weekend, Elmwood Presbyterian Church will throw its doors open to the whole Ballymacash community for its seventh Annual Community Weekend.

The event coincides with the recommencement of many of Elmwood’s regular organisations and activities for the new session.

A Fun Day will be held in the grounds of the church this Saturday September 15 from 1pm to 4pm. There will be fun attractions for all the family including bouncy castles, face-painting, balloon twisting, penalty kicks and more. There will also be a workshop by the Vibe Academy Dance Troupe. Complimentary tea and coffee will be served throughout the afternoon and there will be a free burger from the barbecue.

A special community service on Sunday September 16 at 11.30am will be led by Reverend Andrew Thompson. The Mayor of Lisburn City Council, William Leathem will read a lesson and a choir from Pond Park Primary School will perform. Tea and coffee will be served after the service providing the opportunity to chat and make new friends.

Everyone from Ballymacash and beyond is invited; you will be assured of a very warm welcome.
