Chamber of Commerce visits Camlin for study

Lisburn Chamber of Commerce recently held their second business study visit of the year, visiting Camlin based at Ferguson Drive in Lisburn.

Members of the Chamber were welcomed by Chief Executive, John Cunningham who gave an overview and history of the company.

The Camlin Group has 350 employees and operates worldwide with its headquarters located in Lisburn.

The company specialises in engineering design, research and development and manufacturing, primarily in the area of products and systems for the power and rail industries.

A guided tour then took place of the company’s premises spread across three sites at Ferguson Drive with a new factory opening in the next few weeks. Chamber members were shown the research laboratories and manufacturing facilities for an extensive range of products.

Chamber President, Stephen Houston, said: “Camlin is one of the great success stories in Lisburn and it was our pleasure to get a valuable insight into the scale of its operations and its fascinating research and development activities.”

The Chamber of Commerce Summer barbecue is on Wednesday 22nd June at 6pm at Spruce Meadows Adventure Farm at Ravernet Road Lisburn.
