Mr Stephen Creber said he had been very disappointed to see how the future of education provision in the area has been debated and ‘how through deliberate miss information many schools have been damaged’.

“The next round of the debate started off by giving a very false view on the non-selective schools in Craigavon. In the non-selective schools we enrol pupils of all abilities and backgrounds and we all provide these children with a well rounded education... We do not select only the top performers.

“Brownlow Integrated College, is for from disappointing in terms of pupil performance.”

He added: “The figures used in the SELB’s document for Brownlow are misleading and in my opinion have been presented very deliberately in a way to do damage to Brownlow.”

He pointed out the college had been graded as a ‘good school’ in a recent inspection.
