Arrests after 20-strong gang attack teenage boys in Portadown

A gang of around 20 people attacked two teenagers during a daytime robbery in Portadown town centre.

Both teenage boys (aged 15 and 19) had their mobile phones stolen.

They also suffered facial injuries which required medical treatment.

A 16-year-old girl and two men aged 20 and 25 were arrested. They were later released on bail pending further enquiries.

The incident happened at around 5pm last Saturday on a gravel area at Hoy’s Meadows near Foundry Street.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the attack or has information that may assist their investigation to contact them in Lurgan on 101, quoting ref: 825 230116.
