Annual parade held in city

On Saturday 22nd August Lambeg Orange & Blue Flute Band held their Annual Parade in Lisburn City Centre.

The band paraded from the Moss Road via Low Road, pausing outside Hilden Brewery to lay flowers and observe a moment of silence in memory of 4 year old Oliver Scullion who was tragically killed on 13 August, before making their way to Lisburn Health Centre Car Park.

The main parade started at 8pm, led by Pride of the Shore Flute Band, Belfast, who are celebrating their 30th Anniversary year

In total there were 40 bands on parade from across the province, with South Fermanagh, Freeman Memorial, East Belfast Protestant Boys and Bessbrook True Blues some of the bands on display. Skeogh Melody Flute Band won the Best Overall prize.

The Officers and Members of the band will like to thank everyone for their donations with a total of £1585.57 raised on the night.
