The Hill and Norton families would like to thank all the people who sponsored the walkers and also to those who supported the raffle.

“We would also like to thank Francis McGinn for donating the bus to transport all the walkers from Ballycastle to Bushmills for the start of the sponsored walk,” said a spokesperson for the groups.

“On a very wet Saturday everyone completed the walk from Bushmills to Ballycastle.

“Thank you to all the local shops who donated prizes for the raffle and to Briege McAlonan who donated the water for the walkers.

“Both families are very grateful for all the support we received whilst fundraising for a charity very close to all our hearts.

“We have all lost loves ones through heart and stroke problems and we watched family members suffer because of this.

“Hopefully there will be some treatments in the future that will help families who are going through what we as a family have gone through,” said the spokesperson.
