Tim McGarry’s Irish History Lesson: Friday 16th August

Tim McGarry from Give My Head Peace, Hearts and Minds and The Blame Game turns a very satirical eye on Irish History for this solo stand up show. 
Join Tim as he takes a hilarious romp through thousands of years of Irish history and looks at the funny side of invasion, wars, famine and The Troubles.

Tim’s Irish History Lesson is an uproariously irreverent look at everything we think we know about history and everything we hold dear.

The Sands Family: Saturday 17th August

The Sands Family – Anne, Ben, Colum and Tommy all grew up on a small farm in Moyobridge. Individually they are internationally acclaimed artistes; collectively they have played a significant role in the world wide interest in Irish Folk and traditional music.

The Sands Family have been singing and playing to an ever increasing audience for nearly forty years, combining a clever mix of traditional Irish Music with their own thought provoking compositions about life in Ireland.

Over the years they have produced over 20 albums, have been the subject of several television documentaries and have received numerous music awards.

Frances Black: Sunday 18th August

Frances’s first studio album in ten years ‘Stronger’ was released in February 2013. In her own words “I feel stronger and more passionate than ever about my music.

“This album is something that I have wanted to do for a long time but it has taken me ten years to get here. It is an album of all my favourite songs that I have sung through the years. I have loved and lived these songs, they all tell stories of my life.”

With an inner strength that has helped her to overcome the odds to become the success story that she is to-day – Frances Black is back centre stage claiming the spotlight that she really deserves.
