Lavery in the UK

TWO of Northern Ireland’s most up and coming singer songwriters Ciaran Lavery and Aaron Shanley will start a week-long ‘Versus’ UK Tour that spans from Edinburgh through to London.

The cities they’ll be visiting with their unique acoustic live show include Manchester, Bristol and Southampton.

This is the second installment of a tour which, at the end of 2011, saw the two troubadours perform in packed venues up and down the island of Ireland.

The same ‘Versus’ format will be applied for UK audiences with Lurgan man Ciaran and Lisburn man Aaron trading songs, stories and more than likely a few insults.

Ciaran Lavery, the voice at the front of Irish folk-rock act Captain Kennedy, has released his two acclaimed solo EPs in late 2011, spending much of these months touring up and down the country. Ciaran has also become the latest artist to sign to Public Sector Records based in Belfast, NI and Portland, USA, joining roster acts such as Pat Dam Smyth and Malojian.

It’s been one year since Aaron released the records ‘Let The Sun In’ and ‘The Nashville Sessions’. Since then, both have sold over 3,000 CDs and 2,000 downloads due to his solid touring schedule.

Fans will be able to keep up to date with the UK Tour via a Facebook Blog. Visit www.ciaranlavery.com for further details.
