The book has been penned by Peter Mansel, from Clitheroe, in the north west of England, inspired by a holiday to County Antrim.

Peter said: “Having visited Northern Ireland on holiday a few years ago, I was stunned by the scenery and loved the places, people and food. It made such an impression on me that on returning home, I felt I had to do something to share the amazing places I’d seen with more people and get the areas I’d visited better known.

“I’ve written a thriller that has Belfast and the North Coast, including Larne, central to the plot. I really wanted to do Northern Ireland justice, so have added in a lot of places that will be familiar and brought in a good slice of history along the way.

“I had looked across from the west coast of Scotland and thought I must go there. I wanted to go to the Giant’s Causeway. The book covers everywhere from Belfast to Portstewart.

“I made a few trips back for research. In Larne, Main Street gets a mention as well as the railway station and the harbour.

“North Coast is alive with characters both heart-breaking and triumphant and shows how none are free to escape their pasts, revealing unexpected revelations and connections that culminate in violent revenge.

“I’ve already had some great feedback and a number of people are asking me about how they can visit the sites in the book, so it would be great to get it better known and shared around.

“The book is full of twists and turns and hopefully keeps the suspense going to the end. It is available through Amazon’s website and is available in paperback or on Kindle.”
