Guitarists are in for a treat August 20-23 2015 in the North West Regional College, Derry-Londonderry, as the 13th City of Derry Guitar Festival introduces its new “Guitar Overdose”: a selection of four two-hour workshops with international artists spanning the genres of Acoustic, Flamenco, Slide Blues and Contemporary Classical/Acoustic guitar.

Featuring artists Alberto Grollo, Amir-John Haddad “El Amir Flamenco”, Martin Harley and Declan Zapala the workshops are open to guitarists of all backgrounds and abilities and offer a unique opportunity to broaden your music horizons under the guidance of internationally acclaimed artists.

Each can each be attended as a single event or as part of the Guitar Overdose package where you will have access to all of four workshops and sample a little of each style.

The Festival also offers its signature three-day classical guitar course with Carlos Bonell and Wiktoria Szubelak, the BB King Riff Library Electric Guitar Course and a Beginners Ukulele Course. Audiences will also be treated to a series of unique guitar concerts featuring the same artists from Thursday 20 to Sunday 23 August in the Foyle Theatre of the North West Regional College, Strand Road, Derry/Londonderry.
