Race action moves to Buncrana

RACE three in the Furey Insurances 5K series brings the action to Buncrana tonight (Wednesday) when the 7.30pm start should see in excess of 150 runners of all abilities line up for what usually is the biggest field in the City of Derry Spartans organised series.

Entries will be taken at the race HQ in the swimming pool on the Shore Road from 6.15pm with shower facilities and post race awards ceremony also located there.

Former multi winner and course records holder Pauric McKinney, has confirmed his entry and should face among others, Colin and Gregory Roberts, Declan Reed, Emmet McGinty and a bunch of Donegal athletics.

Hopefully conditions will be ok for a course which usually produces fast times - and McGinty and Olivia Mullan current point leaders in the circuit willl hope to retain their pole positions in the battle for overall honours in the six race series.

The fourth round race will take place in Culmore on Wednesday 10th June next with Culdaff and the Ballinaska/Branch Road circuit races concluding the series.
