Golf: Caldwell and Godfrey win Faughan Valley doubles

The winners of the 2015 Faughan Valley club doubles competition sponsored by Babington & Croasdaile Solicitors was the pairing of Cliff Caldwell and Ricky Godfrey who beat Lee Totton and Peter McGarrigle in a close contest, the presentation of the trophy will take place this Saturday night.

The winner of the mid week was Dahmanic McFeeley with 45 points; Saturday’s Two man Scramble was decided on a break of tie finish between the father and son pairing of James and Seamus Logue playing off a combined handicap of 6.3 and Lee O’Connor and Neal Black playing off a handicap of 6.3 both carding 61.7 points, with James and Seamus taking first spot with the superior back nine; third place playing off a combined handicap of 10.5 was Steven Mullan and Eugene O’Neill who scored 63.5 points. Sunday’s Monthly Medal competition was won Gerrard Redden (19) after scoring 63 points.

Meanwhile this weekend Frank McClintock’s Captain’s Day is down for decision so Gents and Ladies get your names on the time sheet as the draw will take place tomorrow (Wednesday) evening and will be posted on the club notice board.
