Monday’s Calor Gas sponsored Easter Open Stableford was very well supported with the 110 competitors who took to the Ballyarnett fairways enduring difficult conditions as the sharp showers made scoring difficult from the back tees.
However 16 handicapper Eamon O’Kane relished the conditions, as he returned equal nines of 21 points for his excellent winning score of 42 points.
Kevin Dunn (11) finished second after a two way 39 points break of tie with third placed Martin Tope (5).
Gross winner was Shane McClean after he finishied with 35 points, while the visitor prize went to Shaun Duffy (11) from Otway after he scored 35 points.
The back nine was won after a break of tie finish with Brendan Gallagher (16) finished with 21 points and Bundoran’s Noreen Allen (16) with 33 points claimed the ladies prize.
Saturday’s Easter Hamper Competition was very well supported with the proceeds going to the McGrotty & Daniels Family’s Charity, and James Meehan (26) after a barren spell returned to the winners rostrum with a fine winning score of 43 points.
The Back 9 went Cathal O’Donnell (11) 22 points.
Today (Wednesday) the Crumley Construction Monthly Medal takes place and another monthly medal is down for decision on Saturday, while a Club Stableford competition takes place on Sunday, as does the Foyle Sunday Society Captain’s Away Day to North West Golf Club.
Foyle Golf Club Captain Mr Emmet McNally extends Deepest Sympathy on behalf of everyone at Foyle to the McGrotty & Daniels Family’s following the Tragic Accident in Buncrana.
