There will be county darts trials for Area 10 held in the Rising Sun Bar, Greysteel the next two Friday evenings
both Friday 11th and Friday 18th September 2015.
The darts will commence at 8pm with a small charge of £5 which covers both trials.
Along with the trials there will be a darts competition each night so anybody interested in darts of all ages please come along for good nights of darts and possibility of qualifying for the county darts team/squad.
Players are welcome from all areas in Londonderry and all surrounding areas to throw at the highest level for your county team which has been running successfully now for several years.
There will be Eglinton and District darts action tomorrow (Thursday) night with Calablanca A taking on Calablanca B, Macons versus Farahs B, Foyleview Bar take on The Pot Bar, Longfield B face Drummond Hotel, Farahs A versus Eglinton Cricket Club, Donaghys come up against Happy Landing, Rising Sun A versus Rising Sun B and Longfield A have a bye this week.
There were two recorded maximum 180s both from team-mates in Lawrence Duffy (Donaghys) and Paddy McGinnis (Donaghys) in last week’s action.
The highest checkout of the week and in fact the season so far came from Jason Holland (Macons) with a great 118 finish closely followed by Colm Miskelly (The Pot Bar) with a good 115 finish and Gerard Curley (Calablanca A) with a sound 100 finish.
Other good checkouts on the night came from Denis Crossan (Farahs B) 96; Andy McIntyre (Eglinton Cricket Club) 89; Anthony Carton (Rising Sun A) 81; Martin McCormick (Longfield B) 75; Ben Miller (Drummond Hotel) 64; Robert Wallace (Farahs A) 62; Jim Mullan (Longfield A) 60; Lee McCallion (Longfield B) 60 and Pearse Deeny (Farahs B) 59.
