Daryl Gurney, who broke into the top 32 in the Professional Darts Corporation recently, is in the line up for the 2016 UK Open, which takes place next month.
The top 96 players from the final Coral UK Open Order of Merit qualify to compete in the Televised Finals at the Butlins Minehead Resort in Somerset from March 4-6, live on ITV4.
Gurney along with big guns Michael van Gerwen, Gary Anderson, Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis to name but a few, enter at the third round stage.
Meanwhile the Waterside Ladies Darts league continued last week with Wanderers and Ladybirds having big wins.
Results were Wanderers 8-5 Villa’s; Ladybirds 8-4 Laurence’s; Glen Bears 7-7 Three Mile Arrows and Campbell’s/R.O. 7-6 Oval.
