The first darts meeting of the 2015/16 Eglinton and District league is set to take place next Monday in Ballykelly’s Calablanca Bar at 8.30pm sharp.
All this year’s registered teams will receive a full fixture list for the first half of the season and a draw will take place for the first 7 player team cup.
It follows the new highest checkout of the season which came last Thursday night from Dominic Begley who finished with a superb 131 in the Drummond Hotel.
Good ton plus checkouts came from Longfield A’s Tony Loughlin who finished on 119, Rising Sun B’s Martin Barr with 102 and Rising Sun A’s Paddy McElhinney with 100.
Rising Sun A were the victors in their mid-table clash at Happy Landing. Longfield A played out a 3-3 draw with Calablanca A whilst Longfield B succumbed to Calablanca B 4-2. Donaghys to a comfortable 5-1 win against Farahs B.
A 4-2 win for Farahs A over Rising Sun B sees them climb to the top of the table, but wins for Macons at the Pot Bar and a 6-0 victory for the Drummond Hotel means it remains close at the top.
Tomorrow night’s fixtures promises some interesting clashes as league leaders Farahs A take on third place Drummond Hotel.
Macons Bar will be looking to stay within touching distance of the league leaders as they host Happy Landing.
Rising Sun A welcome Longfield A as Rising Sun B travel to Foyleview.
Longfield B will welcome the Pot Bar and Eglinton CC host Farahs B.
Calablanca A will have this week’s bye while Calablanca B travel to Donaghys.
