Eamonn O’Kane is slugging his guts out in Swindon as he prepares for his next outing on February 13.
The talented middleweight knows that if he gets another win on his record, his dream of fighting for a World title will still be within his grasp.
O’Kane - now training in England under Paddy Fitzpatrick - holds the IBF Inter-contiental title and he believes he is close to getting a shot at a World title.
“IBF Champion Jermain Taylor is in trouble with the police, so his belt could be up for grabs. I am highly ranked by the IBF - so I would love a shot at that title.
“It is every fighters dream to fight for and win a World title and I am no different.
“I just know I have to win o February 13 to keep myself high on the IBF rankings,” he stated.
And O’Kane says training under Fitzpatrick has improved his game.
“We have a plan and everything we do is thought out before and you will see a different Eamonn O’Kane in this fight. I have neglected my jab for too long and I will be more thoughtful about my work,” he added.
