The weather played havoc with last Saturday’s programme, as all Premier Division games were called off.
Hoping for an improvement this Saturday, as it’s quarter-final day in the City Cup.
There is also one game in the Premier Division where Caw entertain Ardmore.
Drummond v Lisahally
Although these two are in different divisions this game could be close.
Drummond are having their best season for many years but manager Geoff Ferris won’t be content unless they win some silverware.
Lisahally look certain to be promoted probably as champions, they have a good mix in their side who are mostly all locals.
There are sure to be goals a plenty in this one.
Foyle Wanderers v Greysteel
Another Premier side against a lower division side. Wanderers sit second in the table and there is no reason why they can’t go all the way.
David Scanlon is the man in the midfield engine room and with Robbie Godfrey and Steve Dougherty up front they have to be feared.
Greysteel are having an excellent season sure to be promoted.
They are still in the Junior Cup and they will relish the chance to claim a Premiership scalp.
Prediction: Foyle Wanderers
BBOB v Claudy Rovers
This is arguably the tie of the round.
The Old Boys have gone off the boil recently with some poor performances and they will see this cup as their only chance for a trophy.
Rovers already have the League Cup in their cabinet and they will be going all out to add more silverware. They are still very much in the title hunt and are a class outfit. This may go to extra-time.
Prediction: Claudy Rovers
Eglinton v Tullyally
The Villagers will go into this one as the underdogs. That said they are a difficult side to beat at home and they will have a big support another mostly local side they will give it a real go.
Tullyally are in a comfortable mid table position so they can concentrate all their efforts on this competition. A well-organised outfit they should make the semi-finals.
