Tracey is just back from a trial with the Premier League champions, however another top English side Everton are also tracking the winger.

In fact after his week’s trial with United, Roberto Martinez’s side took the 17-year-old on trial, which unfortunately had to be cut-short after he picked up a groin injury, however it’s felt the Toffee men will want a second look.

The United supporter, who turned down a trial with Championship out-fit Nottingham Forest to sign a new two year deal with the Candystripes in 2013, is thought to have attracted interest from Wolves and other cross channel clubs this season, however the lure of possibly joining a top Premier League club was too much to turn down.

The Gobnascale lad was believed to be rubbing shoulders with the likes of Mata, Rooney while at United and in fact it’s thought he trained with ex-England centre-back Rio Ferdinand on his first day with David Moyes’ side, while at Everton’s training ground Finch Farm defender Sylvain Distin has thought to have made the ex-Top of the Hill Celtic man more than welcome.

If Tracey does secure a move across the water he will join the likes of James McClean, Danny Lafferty, Niall McGinn, Stephen McLaughlin and Paddy McCourt as Derry players who have made the move in recent years.
