THERE is another talented McCourt mixing it with Europe’s finest footballing talents.

This time Paddy’s elder brother Leroy has secured a FIFA football agents licence, to become only the second local man, after Billy Garnon, to acquire the agents license.

Leroy has been working at youth development for a number of decades and feels his contacts throughout not just Ireland but the entire UK can only benefit any young player who he feels will be able to make that step across the water.

“My main aim to attract good young talented footballers who I feel have a chance of making it in the professional game, then it’s my job to get them both signed up with myself and a club across the water,” stated McCourt.

“I didn’t just wake up one morning and decide I wanted to be an agent, for me it was a natural progression.

“It is mainly a tough self-taught course and hopefully worth the effort. The help I received from the Irish Football Association and especially David McVeigh was brilliant. His patience and genuine assistance I am deeply grateful for.

“I have been working as a football consultant for the past number of months. I’m up and running and already I have acquired a number of talented players. I assure anyone that wants me to represent them that I’m an honest, hard-working and knowledgeable person.

“I’ve come up through the ranks and have done both my spadework and my homework. My contact network extends throughout Ireland, Britain, Europe, America, Qatar and Australia. I would love to help some of our younger better players achieve their aspirations.”

In recent years players from the North West such as James McClean, Danny Lafferty, Eunan O’Kane and Mark McChrystal and McCourt believes the talent, which is virtually on his own doorstep, is out there.

“I have a few players going across to Charlton Athletic this summer and I know that I will find another super talent during one of the many youth football competitions, which I will be attending, the likes of the Foyle Cup, Milk Cup, Galway Cup and tournaments in Scotland and England.

“Football has been a major part of my life and I’ve been lucky to have met so much talent along the way.

“Most people in any walk of life are honest and good. I believe I’m in that group. Please feel free to contact me, even for advice. Too many good players for various reasons never fulfill their true potential. We can all name a few. I’m here to help anyone change this fact. My reputation and professionalism are exemplary and I don’t believe on taking on new clients. I believe in making life-long friendships.”
