BBOB for the second time this season defeated old rivals Ardmore 4-2 in the City Cup first round thanks to goals from Grant Garden with two with Joe McCready and Nicky Cooke scoring the other two, Brown and McLaughlin replied for Ardmore.

Caw had a good 4-2 away win at Dungiven Reserves with Adair with two, Lynch and Kee also on the mark.

Claudy Rovers as expected beat Newbuildings United Reserves 3-1 while their neighbours Claudy United went down 5-0 at home to Foyle Wanderers.

First Division side Eglinton had a good 5-3 home win over Premiership side Irish Street.

Lisahally were made to fight all the way before winning 4-3 against Douglas Bridge. In the local derby Simpson scored the only goal of the game as Burnfoot defeated Limavady Rugby Club.

Glendermott bowed out losing 3-2 at Dromore. In the Irish Junior Cup Tullyally Colts lost 5-4 at Irvinestown.

This Saturday it is back to league action the last games before the Christmas break.

Tullyally Colts v Foyle Wanderers

Tullyally manager Lyle Adams was a disappointed man last Saturday after his side threw away a two goal lead in the Irish Junior Cup, however they have been putting in some good performances lately.

Wanderers are on a winning streak and they had four different scorers in last weeks cup win which is always a good sign even David Scanlon got on the score sheet and as usual Stevie Dougherty got his goal.

Prediction: Score Draw.

Ardmore v Claudy Rovers

Two sides who are fighting for the title, Ardmore bowed out of the City Cup last week and their Irish Junior Cup win over Enniskillen Santos has to go to the IFA as the Fermanagh men have lodged a protest.

Claudy are back to their best and they defeated Ardmore 4-1 earlier in the season, two good footballing sides should make for goals.

Prediction: Score Draw.

BBOB v Newbuildings United Res

This would be your banker of the weekend, the Old Boys are challenging for the title while their opponents languish at the foot of the table.

Newbuildings manager Glenn Wallace is doing his best with what players he has at his disposal but it must be soul destroying going out in every game expecting to get beaten.

Prediction: BBOB.

Drummond v Caw

The Roesiders sit proudly in top spot and they certainly deserve to be there, they are playing some superb football and their young players especially continuing to impress.

Caw have gone off the boil recently although they did win in the City Cup last week, this however will be a lot more difficult and they may return empty handed.

Prediction: Drummond.
