JUNIOR FOOTBALL: Wanderers face Roesiders in all NW Irish Junior Cup

Foyle Wanderers host Roe Rovers in the all North West cup tie.

BBOB v Remo

Old Boys manager Don Olphert must be scratching his head with his side’s league form because in the cups they are a different side. They are struggling to get a settled side on the pitch with late withdrawals not helping.

Remo play in Junior Division Two of the BPIL League and they have lost three of their opening four games. The Old Boys’ cup form to be maintained.

Prediction: BBOB.

Foyle Wanderers v Roe Rovers

The Wanderers will be strong favourites to win this one. Currently unbeaten they are playing with a swagger with Conor Kelpie to name just one on top form, Mark Olphert is also playing consistently well.

Rovers if at full strength will put up a decent show but on all known form the home side should win with goals to spare.

Prediction: Foyle Wanderers.

Donemana v Portstewart Reserves

Donemana manger Richard Hepburn will have his charges up for this one. Although they scored four last Saturday they also conceded four so he knows where the problem lies and will have to tighten things up at the back.

The Seasiders are a bit of an unknown quantity who play in the Coleraine and District League. However they are reported to be a useful outfit the home side to progress.

Prediction: Donemana.

Limavady United Drummond v Seapatrick Res

The home side have had a poor start to the season losing their opening three games although they are a better side than those results show and this would be an ideal time to get back to winning ways.

Their opponents play in the Mid Ulster Reserve division one where they are currently third in the table they had a good away win at Tandragee last week so they can’t be underestimated.

Prediction: Limavady United Drummond.

Burnfoot United v Derrykirk United

Burnfoot are a decent side and very difficult to beat on their home turf.

Thye are a mostly local team they play with a great spirit and will have a decent home support which could be the difference.

Their opponents play in division one of the competitive Mid Ulster league where they have lost two of their opening four games and conceded nine goals however they had a good away win last Saturday.

Prediction: Burnfoot.

Premier Division

Claudy Rovers v Lisahally

Rovers have picked up just one point from their opening three games. They have lost a number of their better players from last season and so far they haven’t been able to replace them.

Lisahally are having an excellent season in the top flight only losing once and that was narrowly at Ardmore,Adam Molineux was on top form last week with a brace of goals another victory looks possible

Prediction: Lisahally.

Lincoln Courts v Tullyally

The Courts find themselves on top of the table and that has been a long time since that happened. Manager Kolyn Patterson rightly feels that this could be their year to get among the silverware.

Tullyally are a very capable side who always produce big performance against the top teams. They have a couple of quality players up front and there are sure to be goals in this one with the Courts to maintain their one hundred per cent record.
