Deery’s men have only lost twice in the league at the Riverside Stadium and those defeats came last season.

While this season they are unbeaten in the league at Drumahoe and have picked up 13 points from a possible 15 on offer.

Defensively they have been pretty solid having only conceded eight goals in 18 league outings in the last two seasons, while at the other end they have scored an impressive 25 goals during the 2015/16 campaign and 12 goals from their five league matches this season.

“I couldn’t tell you what the stat is and I’d be interested to know but I genuinely don’t think that we have lost a lot of home games,” stated Deery.

“It’s something we pride ourselves on. But we can’t get complacent we need to keep the record going and I know the players are focused on trying to maintain it.

“Not only that, but we were away today in Armagh and it was all Stute fans so we’re delighted to give them something to cheer about on the way down the road.

“We’ll be really confident now and look to get another win to set us up for the turnaround in fixtures again.”

For this weekend’s encounter Stute welcome back centre-forward Sean McCarron from suspension, but Gareth McFadden misses out again.
