A number of last Saturday’s City Cup matches were postponed due to the weather, these games are now rescheduled for this Saturday with four games also in the Premier Division.

Of the games that were played Claudy Rovers were taken to extra time before seeing off a spirited Churchill 3-2 with goals from Boyd, McDermott and Monteith. King and Kelly replied for the visitors.

Another game that needed extra time was at Caw where the home side lost 3-0 to BBOB with goals from Garden with two and McCready with the other.

Foyle Wanderers didn’t find things easy at Donemana before winning 4-2. Godfrey scored two while Dougherty and Olphert chipped in with the others.

Lisahally had a comfortable 4-0 win at Dromore with their scorers Devine with a brace ,McShane and Doherty.

Ardmore Reserves will play Newbuildings United III in the Supplementary Final after wins over Foyle Wanderers Reserves and Donemana Reserves respectively.

Newbuildings United Reserves v Ardmore

The home side, who are second from bottom, have a yawning seven point gap between them selves and the side third from bottom so their situation is dire and they need a couple of wins immediately.

Ardmore manager Damien McGee has still not given up hope of winning the title this season.

However he must depend on the teams above them slipping up, that said they must keep winning them selves and they should do that here.

Prediction: Ardmore

Claudy Rovers v BBOB

This is undoubtedly the match of the day, Rovers have a game in hand over leaders Drummond who are involved in the City Cup so a win here could see them go joint top.

There is a lot of firepower on display with twin strikers Garden and McCready for the Old Boys and Boyd for the home side this could end all square.

Prediction: Score draw

Caw v Foyle Wanderers

The men from Nelson Drive put up a good performance in their defeat by BBOB last week and that should give them a bit of confidence for the remainder of the season, although another couple of wins would help their cause.

Wanderers lie second in the table and they know that they can’t afford any slip-ups if they are to maintain their title challenge.

They have a lot of quality in their ranks and will be favourites to collect the points.

Prediction: Foyle
Wanderers.

Lincoln Courts v Irish Street

Third from bottom verses bottom in this one, the Courts although in a disappointing place in the division have a good cushion from the two sides in the relegation spots however a win here would ease all their worries.

Mark McKittrick’s side look doomed a big rethink is needed before next season, one win all season tells all and a season in the First Division would give them a chance to rebuild.

Prediction: Lincoln Courts
