Former Newbuildings United man Garth Falconer is loving life at Coleraine.
The defender has settled in well to life in the Premiership and is enjoying his current run in the team.
“The tempo and speed is a step up from the Championship for sure,” said the left back.
“At the start I got a good run in the team, then I was on the bench for a period.
“But in the last six weeks I’ve been back playing regularly again.
“The team have been going well though and getting some great results.
“It’s hard to put your finger on why we’re doing so well this season.
“I suppose it was a fairly young team Oran (Kearney) was working with, and maybe it’s just another year’s experience at this level which is making the difference.
“James McLaughlin has been banging in the goals for fun, which is an obvious plus point.”
Falconer had the opportunity to also join Ballinamallard in the summer, but he’s delighted he made the decision to come to The Showgrounds.
“I had a great time at Dergview, but when the opportunity came to play in the Premiership I had to take it,” he said.
“Ballinamallard and Coleraine both spoke to me in the summer and obviously I’m delighted at how the move has turned out for me.”
