Lisnagelvin PS secured the County Deery Primary Schools Cup Final, after defeating Oakgrove PS.

Despite Oscar Gormley’s man of the match display for Oakgrove, it was Lisnagelvin who came out on top.

Foyle College U15 side booked their place in the Ulster Schools U15 final, following an impressive 84 runs victory over Wallace High School.

In glorious conditions the teenagers dominated in the sun at Springtown.

The opening pair of Kyle Magee and Darren Robb put on 63 before Magee was dismissed for 23.

McCombe kept the positive momentum going with a swift 26 but it was Darren Robb with an unbeaten 66 that allowed Foyle to finish on 176-3 in 25 overs.

In reply Wallace were soon reeling as Cameron Knight and Gregory McFaul rocked them to 9-5. McFaul finished with figures of 3-10 as Wallace were restricted to 92-9.
