Vote Of Confidence For WHM

The Waterside Half Marathon entry process has now closed with a massive response yet again for the annual local classic, set for Sunday, September 4th.

The popular 13.1 miler caters for some 2,000 runners, including the couple of hundred participating in the three person Team Relay format and the River Foyle centred course, taking in both sides of the river, is certain to host a real feast of running in just over two weeks time.

With last year’s winner, Mick Clohissey, in Rio for the Olympic marathon, runner up Freddy Sittuk will start as favourite to take the overall honours this time while Scott Rankin and 2015 female winner Catherine Whoriskey will front the local challenge.
