Woman left bloody and bruised after attack by two men

A woman was left shaken, bloody and bruised after being attacked by two men on a lonely stretch of road on the outskirts of Londonderry on Sunday night (January 3).

The woman was assaulted while out walking along the Skeoge Road around 10pm.

Inspector Gregory Smyth said: “This lady was attacked close to the entrance to Glenabbey by two males. One of the males demanded her phone and as she handed it over they attacked her leaving her with cuts and bruises to her body. We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the assault or could provide any further information that will help us identify the culprits.”
