A GROUP of US students have been impressed by Londonderry police officers’ delivery of an excellent policing service in spite of the severe threat environment.

The students visited the Foyle Area Command as part of a Society for Conflict and Peace Programme.

Programme leader Dr Ray Casserly said: “It’s been a wonderful experience seeing how the PSNI is working with the community in Northern Ireland.”

Area Commander Jon Burrows added: “The students were impressed by the ability and courage of police officers in Foyle who deliver an excellent policing service to the community in spite of the severe threat environment in which we operate.”
