Limavady United’s star striker Cathair Friel is going nowhere despite catching the eye with his goalscoring prowess against North West rivals Institute.
Friel has been on fire in front of goal for the Roesiders recently and he added to his growing tally with a double against ‘Stute in his side’s stunning North West Senior Cup victory at the weekend.
United manager Paul Owens, however, is sure Friel is going nowhere. “I have never seen him in such good shape and that’s a massive credit to him”, he said.
“The improvement in his movement off the ball has been frightening and the work rate is through the roof.”
The Limavady United player-manager added: “We had a wee joke earlier in the week about a move after scoring so many but he doesn’t want to go anywhere and he won’t be going anywhere.”
