An Ulster Scots Evening of Dance and Song is to be held at Age Concern Derry.

It will take place on Monday, February 22, at 7.30pm at Malvern House, on Chapel Road in the Waterside.

The Alastair Scott Ceilidh Band will be providing a lively programme of music, while The Sollus Highland Dancers will be performing flings and reels.

The Ceilidh band draw on the influence of both their Irish and Scottish backgrounds, which are combined to create a sound and visual spectacle that is both technically impressive and hugely entertaining.

The musicians play the flute, whistles, bagpipes, keyboard and percussion.

The music and dance session is being funded through a Derry City and Strabane District Council Good Relations Grant.

All those over 60 years of age are welcome to attend and enjoy this free event.

Tea and refreshments will be served.
