OPENED around five months ago, Spiceland, located at the Waterside's Distillery Brae is a treasure trove of exotic cooking ingredients.
With a wide selection of spices, sauces and noodles, all the basics are there to create a truly great cuilnary experience.
As well as this, you can buy lime leaves, chinese roasted seaweed, fresh vegetables, fresh ginger, coconut, cassava, yams, powered jams, bitter gourd (favoured by diabetics), fresh okavas, aubergines and a range of corriander.
There are also dried snacks, ready to eat in tandem with a wide selection of herbs plus cinnamon powder and black and white pepper powder.A range of different lentils are also on offer. Perfect for Thai cooking, balm sugar is also on sale. There are also a range of Indian sweets, fresh and canned on offer including Galub Jamun and Rasalla.
Of course with all this you will need to rice to complete your cooking and a full range is available including Basmati, Jasmine and bolied.
Spiceland is open seven days per week. Monday-Saturday from 10am-7pm and Sundays from 1-7pm.
