The Roe Park Resort, Limavady, has been named Golf Hotel of the Year at the inaugural Irish Hotel Awards.
The 4 star resort saw off competition from top golf resorts from across the island of Ireland to pick up the prestigious accolade at a ceremony in Athlone.
Terry Kelly, Golf and Spa Manager at the Roe Park Resort said; “We are delighted to receive this award at the 2017 Irish Hotel Awards. We have invested significantly in our golf course over the past number of years and we are thrilled to be recognised for our world-class golf facilities as well as the many other services we offer guests at the Roe Park Resort.”
He continued: “We pride ourselves on offering a wide range of facilities for our guests – from our award-winning spa, 18 hole golf course, two Taste of Ulster accredited restaurants, heated swimming pool and health club. It is great recognition for the whole team at the resort to win this Irish Hotel Award.”
Organisers of the awards congratulated the Roe Park Resort on winning the Golf Hotel of the Year award. Nicci Smith of NI Media and director of the event said; “We would like to congratulate all our award winners in this, the inaugural year of The Irish Hotel Awards. The hospitality industry in Ireland consistently goes the extra mile to provide top quality experiences for visitors from all over the world. This wouldn’t be possible without the ‘stars’
of the industry - those people, day in day out who work behind the scenes to deliver consistently high standards. The Irish Hotel Awards is a celebration of these people and the hotels they work in.”
The Roe Park Resort also recently picked up two prestigious awards for its spa and golf facilities, being named ‘Best Golf Resort in Ulster’ at the 2017 Golfers’ Guide to Ireland Awards and being crowned ‘Northern Ireland Spa of the Year’ at the Professional Beauty Regional Awards in 2016.
