The officers and member of the Royal Arch Purple, No 1 District Chapter met on Wednesday evening last February 25, to formally instal their incoming officers.
The event took place at the Church of Ireland Diocesan Centre on London Street, and a large and representative attendance of Brethren were there to welcome the new officers into their posts for the new term.
Bro Derek Lyttle, past District Officer, conducted the formal installation, which saw Wor Brother Colin Campbell installed as the Worshipful Master for his second term in the top position within RAPC District No 1 Chapter.
The incoming Deputy District Master is Wor Bro Victor Wray, and the incoming Chaplain for the District is Rev John Noble.
Other officers elected were: Wor Bro Kyle Thompson, District Registrar; Wor Bro Hayden McMullen, District Treasurer; Wor Bro Jordan Campbell, District Tyler.
The vote of thanks to the installing officer, Bro Lyttle, was proposed by Wor Bro Wray and seconded by Wor Bro William Thompson, and passed on to the installing officer by the Worshipful District Master, Wor Bro Campbell.
Following the installation, formal business was undertaken, with the reading of the previous meeting’s minutes, and apologies were taken and recorded.
Brethren observed a silence for several members who had passed on since last year and prayers were led by the Lay Chaplain, Wor Bro Kenny Kincaid, and the District Chapter closed in peace and harmony.
The next district meeting will be in June.
