Police seized £3,700 worth of cannabis and arrested a 23-year-old man following a drugs bust in Creggan on Friday, January 22.
Just after 1pm, officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out a proactive search and seized the haul of suspected cannabis.
The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B controlled drug, possession of a class B controlled drug with intent to supply and being concerned in the supply of a class B controlled drug.
Sergeant Ray Wilson said: “This search and drug seizure in the city is another example of the PSNI’s commitment to tackling illegal drugs in the area. I would encourage anyone who has any information about the use or supply of illegal drugs to contact police on the non-emergency number 101.
