A large-scale annual loyalist gathering snaked its way along the streets and old walls of Londonderry at the weekend.

The Apprentice Boys’ gathering, billed as involving as many as 12,000 members of the organisation, took place on Saturday, marking the ‘Relief of Derry’.

One part of the spectacle saw costume-clad musket men firing into the air as crowds looked on.
