Seventy-one Housing Executive (NIHE) properties in the Waterside in Londonderry are to have new fire doors fitted over the winter.
The work will start this month and is due to be completed by the end of February.
Meanwhile, a further 52 homes in the Triangle are to be re-roofed and re-cladded next year.
This scheme, which will commence in the 2016/17 financial year, is expected to take 18 months to complete.
Londonderry DUP MLA Gary Middleton asked the Social Development Minister Mervyn Storey about works planned for the Waterside at the Assembly.
The Minister advised that improvement works for at least 123 Housing executive properties on the Eastbank of Londonderry are programmed to begin between 2015 and 2017.
