Castlederg’s Much Ado Stage School are busy preparing for their most exciting production yet ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat’ at the Alley Theatre from Thursday to Saturday, April 24-26.
Rois Kelly from Much Ado Stage School said: “Both the Junior and Senior pupils of Much Ado Stage School are delighted to return to the Alley Theatre Stage for our fifth annual Production.
“To date, our pupils have enjoyed perfoming in sell-out performances such as Much Ado on Broadway- Wicked, Mary Poppins, Hairspray, Annie, Beauty and the Beast, Much Ado’s Strictly Musicals- Shrek, Mamma Mia, Blood Brothers, Toy Story and The Beatles. We are excited and privileged to present the show that introduced Andrew Lloyd Webber and Time Rice to the West End!”
This much loved musical tells the tale of Joseph - his father’s favourite son, and a boy blessed with prophetic dreams.
When he is sold into slavery by his jealous brothers and taken to Egypt, Joseph endures a series of adventures in which his spirit and humanity are continually challenged.
Set to an engaging abundance of musical styles, from Country-Western and Calypso to Bubble-gum Pop and Rock ‘n’ Roll with Elvis thrown in for good measure, this Old Testament tale emerges both timely and timeless. Joseph is the ultimate family show - the perfect outing during Easter Break!
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will be on Thursday to Saturday, April 24 to April 26 at 7.30pm and there will be a matinee performance on Saturday, April 26, at 3pm.
Tickets are £8 and available from the Alley Theatre Box Office on 02871384444 or online www.alley-theatre.com
