The Jail Minister David Ford has refused to comment on whether or not a man charged with possession of a pistol by police probing the Kevin McGuigan murder has joined the republican wing in Maghaberry.
DUP MLA Lord Morrow asked whether Patrick John Fitzpatrick (aged 53) is a separated prisoner in Roe House, HMP Maghaberry; and if so, whether he has signed the required compact.
But Mr Ford refused to comment.
The Justice Minister replied: “It would not be appropriate to discuss the circumstances of an individual prisoner.”
