The Londonderry Chamber of Commerce President Gerry Kindlon described the late Martin McCrossan as a “true ambassador for Derry, the North West region and for Ireland as a whole.”
“I am shocked and deeply saddened by the death of Martin McCrossan, one of this city’s most notable and respected business leaders,” he said.
“Martin was a proud Derry man and the whole city is the poorer for his passing. He was a true ambassador for Derry, the North West region and for Ireland as a whole. His death is a real loss for the business community of the city and in particular for the tourism industry,” the Chamber President stated.
He said that the well-known local tour guide’s influence stretched far beyond the Maiden City.
“Martin was known and respected not just within Derry, but far beyond our shores. His real positive impact for the city is illustrated by the expressions of grief that are coming in from around the world. Our city’s business community will miss Martin.”
