Man arrested over Londonderry shooting

Police Londonderry arrested a 32-year-old man from the Lettershandoney area on Sunday in relation to a paramilitary style shooting in the city.

The shooting happened in Lisfannon Park in the Bogside after 21:30 BST on Tuesday. The 33-year-old man was taken to hospital with wounds to his legs and abdomen. His injuries are non-life threatening. Police have described the attack by four men as "brutal and horrific" and have appealed for information.

The shooting happened in the city last week.

Police said the man is also being questioned in relation to a previous attack which happened in Londonderry in March.
