“Their reviews reveal that many care homes are warm and happy places to live, where staff go that extra mile to ensure residents have a good quality of life and feel cared for.
“Longfield Care Home proved that they provide a high standard of care and we’d like to congratulate them on being a Top 20 care home in Northern Ireland!
“It’s a wonderful achievement to be recognised for being a highly recommended home by the very people you care for.
“Finding the right care home can be so hard. We hope that our awards will help to make people’s care home search that little bit easier.”
Louise McClusky, home manager of Longfield Care Home said: “I was off the day of the announcement - so the next day when I arrived at the home the excitement was electrifying! The staff were buzzing. The atmosphere was great.
“Everyone who came into the home was informed of our fantastic achievement and they all agreed it was well deserved. We had an afternoon tea on Thursday 18 of May for three of our longest serving staff members who are now retired and our regional manager.
“We used this opportunity to celebrate the award with resident’s staff family and friends.
“I feel we have won this award as we have fantastic support from our relative’s friends and the wider community.”
