A notice of a decision on an application to a Stormont fund aimed at encouraging Protestants and Catholics to get on better by Londonderry cross-community organisation Reach Across will be made as soon as possible.
Foyle SDLP MLA Colum Eastwood asked the Office of First Minister and Deputy First Minister (OFMDFM) about the status of the local organisation’s application to the 2014/15 Central Good Relations Funding scheme, which closed for applications in February last year.
The Ministers responded: “There was a very significant demand for funding. Thirty-two applicants have already been awarded funding totalling around £1.6m.
“Funding is being released in phases as it becomes available. The remaining applicants, including “REACH Across”, will be advised of the outcome of their applications as soon as possible.”
