Detectives in Londonderry are appealing for information about three burglaries on Wednesday, September 16.

In Culmore residents returned to their Belvoir Park home to find it had been ransacked. The culprits were disturbed and made off. Several diamond rings were stolen.

In Eglinton, jewellery and a gold watch were stolen from a house at Gransden Park sometime between 2.30pm and 8.30pm, while jewellery was stolen from a house at Ashgrove in Altnagelvin. There intruders also stole a large sum of money in £2 coins.

Police believe the house was entered through a downstairs window between 7.30pm and 9.30pm.

“We are currently working to establish if there are any links between the three incidents. We would like to hear from anyone who noticed suspicious activity or unknown vehicles close to any of the houses that were burgled,” Detective Inspector Lindsay Kitson said.
