A pensioner who crashed his car into two parked vehicles was disqualified from driving when he appeared at Londonderry Magistrates Court on a charge of failing to provide a breath specimen.

Thomas Woods (78), of Hill Close, Ballykelly, pleaded guilty to the offence, detected on May 29, last year.

The court heard police were called to the traffic accident in Harberton Park. The defendant was injured in the collision and police attended the hospital to get a specimen of breath, but he failed to provide one. He was disqualified from driving for 14 months and fined £150.
