Kerrigan death: Man in court

A 19-year-old man is to appear in court in Londonderry this morning charged in connection with the robbery of a man who later died.

A PSNI spokesman said Detectives had charged a 19-year-old man with robbery and two counts of theft and confirmed he is to appear before Londonderry Magistrates’ Court today, Monday, February 8.

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

It is understood one of these charges relates to the robbery of Connall Kerrigan, the 25-year-old man who, it is believed died after falling from the City Walls in Londonderry in the early hours of Sunday, August 23.
