Gang of three are involved in assault

Police at Strand Road PSNI station are appealing for information about an assault in Londonderry.

The incident took place at around 4.30am on Monday, January 19, PSNI Inspector Terry McKenna said.

“The man was walking on the Skeogh Road when three males are alleged to have got out of a small black vehicle and started to assault him,” Inspector McKenna said.

He added that police are yet to establish any motive for the attack however the injured party sustained a number of minor injuries.

Anyone with information on the assault, or who may have witnessed any part of it, is asked contact police using the police non-emergency number, 101, or by telephoning the Crimestoppers Charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
