A 24-year-old man is to stand trial at Londonderry Crown Court, accused of driving while disqualified.

Daniel James Deery, with an address at Glenabbey Road, Cityside, is further charged with two offences, namely that of dangerous driving and one of causing damage to a police car.

The court was told that the charges related to an alleged incident between Craigavon Bridge and Skeoge Road on June 20, last year.

Defence solicitor Seamus Quigley accepted there is a case for his client to answer.

Deery was remanded in custody to appear in court again on May 11.
